Official Sponsor SEA Games 27th Myanmar
Mr. Saneh Jaruwaraghirom, Chairman of Nationman (Thailand) Co., Ltd., manufacturer of Nationman sports equipment and sportswear, committed a sponsorship investment for the 27th SEA Games, held December 11–22, 2013, in Naypyidaw, Republic of Myanmar, and four other cities across Myanmar, in the amount of USD 3 million — equivalent to 93 million Thai baht — with a willingness to provide additional support up to a maximum of 100 million baht as needed, in exchange for the exclusive rights as the Official Main Sponsor for all sports categories covering sports equipment, sportswear, and protective gear for competition and training. U Tint Zin, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, appointed U Myo Liang, Director-General of the Myanmar Department of Physical Education and Secretary of the Olympic Committee, as the authorized representative of the Myanmar government to sign the agreement with the company on January 31, 2013, at the Ministry of Sports.
In addition, the company was granted the exclusive rights to manufacture and sell souvenirs bearing the Myanmar Olympic emblem, the Myanmar national flag, all SEA Games mascots, and the SEA Games logo. All sponsored products were authorized to carry the Nationman brand exclusively and could be sold in all countries worldwide, including Thailand. The Myanmar government strictly enforces laws against direct and indirect infringement or copying of SEA Games copyright marks.
Nationman SEA Games mascot souvenir products launched in Thailand starting March 15, 2013. SEA Games souvenir collectors could purchase items in advance without traveling to Myanmar or waiting for the games. A wide variety of souvenirs was available, including golf caps, sportswear, sports shorts, sports jerseys, warm-up suits, student warm-up pants, various balls, ankle supports, knee pads, shin guards, wristbands, headbands, document shoulder bags, women's bags, all types of bags, scarves, bath towels, mascot plush toys — the owl mascots in two versions: male named U Siu Yu and female named Daw Mo — sports socks, sports bags, all types of boxing equipment for both boxing and Muay Thai, and more. SEA Games souvenir products were available at Nationman authorized dealers nationwide and at all The Mall department store branches in the sports department, starting March 15, 2013.
