Futsal is a sport in which Thai athletes have demonstrated the potential to compete at the world level. To maximize that potential, development must begin at the youth level. For this reason, the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) and Nationman (Thailand) Co., Ltd. organized the Nationman–OBEC Futsal League, Under-17, 6th Edition for the 1st semester of the 2010 academic year. As a continuous main sponsor, Nationman remains committed to encouraging Thai youth to embrace sports and stay away from vices. The tournament was held from June to September 2010, with matches scheduled 1–2 times per week.

On June 3, 2010, Mr. Sunantawit Ploikhao, Director of Wat Sutthiwararam School and Tournament Chairman, held a press conference at 10:00 AM in the Ruchrawong Meeting Room, Wat Sutthiwararam School.

Students interested in futsal are encouraged to follow and cheer for their favorite teams throughout the competition.
